U-Prep Test Prep (Aimee Urdiales, instructor) is pleased to propose a two-session, in-person ACT Prep Workshop designed to equip high school students with essential strategies, content knowledge, and practical experience to succeed on the ACT. This program is structured to build confidence, improve performance, and reduce test anxiety through expert instruction and guided practice.

This course will be given over two days, each lesson being 2 hours long. All materials will be provided. You will begin by learning what brush lettering is and practice the technique. Next, you will move on to watercolors and practice brush motions, hand pressure, and shapes so that you can paint leaves and flowers for a wreath. The final project will include a floral rose wreath with leaves. In the center you will brush letter a quote of your choosing or use the one provided.

This hands-on course combines expert instruction with guided practice, giving participants the knowledge and confidence to start their show from scratch. This workshop is designed for individuals who are interested in creating a podcast to share ideas, promote a business, or explore creative storytelling.

Join our Master Gardeners as they guide you through an evening of “Growing Gorgeous Hydrangeas” and discover the secrets to cultivating these show stopping flowers. Attendees will learn tips on selecting the perfect hydrangea for your space, along with hands -on guidance on planting and caring for your hydrangea. We will also present ways to use those beautiful blooms. Each attendee will also propagate 3 varieties to take home.

Course Description: Explore the beauty of texture and layered design in this hands-on class focused on creating intaglio-inspired artwork on canvas using decoupage techniques. Participants will learn how to build dimension and depth by applying raised mediums and decorative elements to achieve the look of traditional intaglio engraving. Through guided instruction, students will also transform oyster shells into elegant decorative pieces using select papers, apply adhesives, and incorporate finishing techniques such as metallic highlights and sealing for a polished result. Perfect for beginners and experienced creatives alike, this class encourages artistic expression while producing unique keepsakes or gifts.
