In this fun and easy hands-on cooking class, you'll learn how to create a variety of sweet and savory treats that are perfect for sharing - or keeping for yourself. You'll make: Sweet and savory butter blends, stuffed cherry peppers, roasted nuts, delicious cheese ball, and fresh blueberry muffins. You'll also discover creative, simple gift-packaging ideas to make your homemade goodies extra special. Each participant will go home with the recipes cards, tasty treats, packaging inspiration, and an herb plant to grow at home.

Livingston Parish has a long history with strawberry farming. While commercial production is now limited to just a few farms in the Parish, backyard plantings are still very popular with homeowners. Join LSU AgCenter Livingston Parish Horticulture Agent, Clark Robertson, and Livingston Master Gardeners to learn how to plant and care for strawberries for your own berry delicious harvest. Each participant will receive bareroot strawberry plants to take home for planting in the ground or in pots. You will also receive a strawberry growing guide.

Join the Livingston Master Gardener’s for an informative class on growing onions and garlic in South Louisiana. Master Gardener Carole Ann Scott will provide you with information and tips on how she is successful in growing these edible bulbs in her own backyard. Each participant will take home seed garlic to plant along with a planting guide and tips on the best varieties to grow in Livingston Parish.

In this fun and creative hands-on class, participants will learn basic techniques for painting on denim, including design planning, brush techniques, color selection, and creating personalized artwork. No previous painting experience is required. Bring your own pair of jeans and let your creativity shine as you create a unique piece you’ll be proud to wear or share!
